"Well, boys aren't known for their wits. Usually." Carlos was something of an exception to that. There was a wicked mirth to Mal's smile, but it was overall not antagonistic. She understood that the rest of her group of friends needed to be corralled into the game at hand. "Plus, just because you're friends doesn't mean they can be exempt of your wrath when they deserve it."

She chuckled a bit. She summoned her keyblade... but just to lean on it, knowing she was probably scandalizing everyone else who ever had one.

"Okay, I made a decision," she said firmly, smiling.

"If you're okay with it, you and I are going to be friends."

"You know you're the first one to ask me. Lonnie and Ben just kinda decided on being my friend and I had to deal."

Honestly she wasn't sure which she preferred, if either of them asked, she would have said no. Because villains don't have friends, villains are rotten and only have people that are useful near them. But it was nice to get a say.

"I guess it isn't the worst thing, having more friends."

"It isn't the worst thing," she agreed with a bright smile. "It might just be one of the best things."

And now if Sora or Riku ever went after her, because of who her mother is, Kairi could stop them. "If you ever meet my friends, Sora, or Riku, you let them know you're my friend, okay?"
